Published SUDEP International Position Statement

Our international consensus paper on SUDEP research priorities has been published in the peer-reviewed journal Epilepsy Currents.

Developed in partnership with CURE Epilepsy, PAME, SUDEP Action, and a global network of clinicians and researchers, this work establishes a unified framework to guide future SUDEP research. This collaborative effort highlights the critical importance of cross-sector partnerships in advancing understanding, accelerating translational progress, and ultimately improving prevention strategies to save lives.

Dr Bhandare contributed to this collective initiative aimed at shaping the global SUDEP research agenda.

Organised career building day for early career researchers

Dr Amol Bhandare, Communications and Events board member for the International League Against Epilepsy (ILAE) Young Epilepsy Section (YES), recently organised the 2025 ILAE British Branch YES one day meeting: 'Career Building Day'.

The event was for early career researchers working in epilepsy and biomedical research and featured keynote talks from experts in the field.
